In the object, all details have been omitted, leaving ‘the toy car’ recognisable only as a concept. The resulting emptiness gives the object space for projection and association.
The Solid Car, a solid oak toy car from designer Lex Pott's ‘Solid Cars’ collection, is fitted with plastic bearings so the car moves easily. The body is made of solid FSC oak, the wheels of walnut.
